How Rigwise makes money

Affiliate disclosure

Rigwise is an information and decision platform, not a shop. We do not take payment, hold stock, ship anything or handle returns.

How we make money

Some links to retailers are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. That commission comes out of the retailer’s margin — it does not change the price you pay.

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Rigwise participates in the Amazon.com Associates Program. Eligible links to Amazon.com use the registered Rigwise partner tag, and Amazon may pay Rigwise a commission after a qualifying purchase. Amazon is the retailer and seller; Rigwise does not take payment, fulfill the order or handle returns.

An Amazon link will appear only when it identifies the intended product and qualifies as an authorized affiliate destination. When Amazon links become available, they will also carry a clear disclosure beside the purchase action.

What commission never affects

  • Which parts a user selects in the manual builder. Compatibility rules run independently of retailer or commission data.
  • The order of retailer offers. Offers are ranked by availability, data freshness and total price including shipping. Nothing in the ranking code reads the affiliate flag — this is covered by a unit test that fails if it ever does.
  • Product page content, specification values or compatibility verdicts.

Only offers from authorized, monetizable partner relationships are published. Among those eligible offers, the commission amount never changes which retailer ranks first.

Sponsored placements

There are none in this MVP. If sponsored placements are ever introduced, they will be visually separated from organic results and labelled as sponsored on every surface where they appear.

Active commerce partners

Only partners with a currently published authorized offer appear here.

No partner currently has an authorized offer published on Rigwise. Product pages remain available without a store link.

Outbound links and tracking

Retailer links pass through /go/<offer-id>, which records that a clickout happened — the offer, the product, the retailer and the surface it came from — and then redirects. We do not attach personal identifiers to that record. A redirect exists only for an authorized active partner offer.

A retailer hand-off is not reported as a completed purchase or affiliate conversion. Conversion attribution remains the retailer network’s responsibility.

Outbound retailer links are marked rel="nofollow sponsored".

Corrections

If a specification, price or compatibility verdict looks wrong, the fix belongs in the data pipeline rather than in a manual edit.
